Lakeside Holiday Chalet Hourtin Port
Les Maisons du Lac - an imaginative small development of eco-chalets situated around their own private stretch of water in a very peaceful location away from any traffic. Our lakeside holiday chalet, Hourtin Port, faces the largest lake in France and provides an ideal place to relax.
Your Accommodation
Our lakeside holiday chalet is furnished to a high standard (new since 2006). It is light and airy- a mixture of pine wood and white walls with touches of colour.
This lovely Médoc chalet comfortably sleeps six and has two shower rooms.
In the evenings enjoy your meal on the terrace whilst watching the sun set below the lake.
Living/dining
- The spacious open-plan living room has comfortable seating for 6. There are large patio doors opening onto the terrace overlooking a branch of the lake and the Île aux Enfants. Equipped with Satellite TV with English and local programmes, DVD and Hi-Fi system.
- The dining area also has seating for 6 and a table large enough for family games.
- The kitchen is well equipped - oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
- The ground floor double bedroom has a single door opening onto a small decked area. It is bright and cheerful with spacious built-in wardrobes and a large en-suite Italian style shower with basin, mirror and vanity unit
- There is a separate ground floor W.C with basin
Upstairs :
- There is a large twin bedroom with built-in wardrobes and several chests of drawers. A TV /DVD & iPod dock are provided.
- The large mezzanine bedroom with double sofa bed has considerable privacy, plenty of storage and a glass door to a small balcony overlooking the lake - ideal for your morning coffee or a pre-dinner drink.
- There is also a family shower room with W.C and basin
Outside
The large rear terrace of our Médoc holiday home faces the lake and there is a small fenced garden. Garden furniture for six or more is provided and a gas barbeque.
The garden shed contains 2 adult bikes - more can easily be rented locally.
A short walk away is the private parking space and there are also visitors spaces.
